Meghan Markle postpones launch of her lifestyle programme for California wildfires
The Duchess of Sussex postpones the release of ‘With Love, Meghan’ until March 4 to focus on helping victims of the wildfires in Los Angeles
Due to the severe wildfires that are ravaging Los Angeles County, Meghan Markle has decided to postpone the launch of her new lifestyle and cooking show, ‘With Love, Meghan’, originally scheduled for 15 January. In an official statement, the Duchess of Sussex thanked Netflix for their support in the decision to postpone the release, explaining that she wanted to focus on the needs of people affected by the fires in her home state of California.
The series, consisting of eight episodes and filmed in Montecito, will premiere on 4 March. Although the programme was not filmed in the residence shared with Prince Harry, it is known that it will include personal references to California, Meghan’s birthplace, and her strong ties to the state.
The Duchess, who included a California poppy in her wedding veil during her 2018 wedding as a tribute to her homeland, has taken to the field to support communities affected by the wildfires. Accompanied by Prince Harry, Meghan met with victims of the fires and rescue workers, including helping staff at the World Central Kitchen in Pasadena to distribute meals and essentials. The couple also contributed donations through their foundation, Archewell, to support communities devastated by the fires.
