According to Bloomberg, the increase is due to a number of factors, including the rise in Tesla shares, which have risen 65% since Donald Trump’s election in early November. This significant increase has had a direct impact on the fortunes of Musk, who owns a considerable share in the carmaker.
In parallel, his space company SpaceX has also contributed to this increase.
