North Korea to Reveal the Next Phase of Its Nuclear Deterrence Plan

Kim Jong-Un announces upcoming strategy update at Workers’ Party Congress following ballistic missile test

North Korea is set to disclose the next phase of its nuclear deterrence plan during the upcoming Workers’ Party Congress in February.

The announcement was made by leader Kim Jong-Un in the wake of a recent ballistic missile test, according to the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

Kim emphasized that the congress will “clarify plans for the next phase, aimed at strengthening the country’s nuclear deterrence.”

The remarks underscore Pyongyang’s continued focus on advancing its nuclear strategy while linking political events to military developments. The upcoming congress is expected to provide further details on how North Korea intends to enhance its deterrent capabilities.

This announcement follows a series of recent missile tests, signaling that North Korea remains committed to maintaining and developing its strategic nuclear posture despite international scrutiny and sanctions.
