Massacre of civilians in Gaza, Trump: ‘The crisis will only end with Hamas’ surrender’

101 people killed in the last 24 hours. 47 seriously ill patients evacuated thanks to the WHO. Over 1,300 dead in search of humanitarian aid

More bloodshed in the Gaza Strip. In the last 24 hours, 101 people have been killed and 625 wounded by Israeli army (IDF) fire, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health. Among the victims, 81 civilians were hit while waiting for humanitarian aid. The total death toll among those seeking food or medicine is dramatic: 1,320 people killed and over 8,800 wounded since the start of the war.

Particularly serious was what happened yesterday at the Zikim crossing, the main humanitarian access point in the north of the Strip: 48 Palestinians were killed and dozens were wounded, as reported by Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, while the crowd waited their turn to receive food.

Trump: “Hamas surrender is the only path to peace”
In a message posted on Truth Social, US President Donald Trump said that “the fastest way to end the humanitarian crisis in Gaza is for Hamas to surrender and release the hostages”. These words come as Washington announces new sanctions against the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) and the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO).

The State Department accuses the two bodies of “internationalising the conflict through the International Criminal Court and the Hague Court”, as well as “glorifying violence, supporting terrorism and providing subsidies to terrorists and their families”. The measures include refusing to grant visas to officials involved.

47 patients evacuated thanks to the WHO
Meanwhile, the World Health Organisation (WHO) has announced the medical evacuation of 47 patients and 129 accompanying persons from Gaza, thanks to the cooperation of several countries. The patients were welcomed by Spain, Turkey, France, Norway and Jordan.

‘Over 14,000 people still need urgent care,’ WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on X, thanking governments and health workers for their efforts. ‘We urge other countries to accept critical patients.’
