Harry and Meghan Plan Return to UK After Years in California
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to move back to Britain at the end of the month, with King Charles III reportedly informed and supportive of the plans
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to leave the United States and return to live in the United Kingdom at the end of this month, according to Sky News.
King Charles III has reportedly been informed of the plans and has given his approval. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to settle in a private residence outside London rather than in a royal property.
The couple moved to the United States in March 2020 with their son, Archie, who was almost one at the time. They later welcomed their daughter, Lilibet, while living in California.
Archie and Lilibet, now seven and five, are expected to begin attending a British school in September, according to the Telegraph, the Sun and People magazine.
Sky News reports that the King was informed of Harry and Meghan’s plans, as were Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales. Charles has reportedly welcomed the prospect of spending more time with his family in a private, personal setting.
The move will not change Harry and Meghan’s status as non-working members of the Royal Family.
