British Woman Found Dead in Suitcase in Athens, Greek Police Investigate
The 38-year-old is believed to have arrived in Greece from Cyprus earlier this month. Her body was discovered July 18 by a homeless person in an abandoned building in central Athens.
Greek police are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the death of a British woman after her body was found inside a suitcase in Athens.
State broadcaster Ert reported that Interpol data helped identify the 38-year-old, who is believed to have traveled to Greece from Cyprus at the beginning of this month. The body was discovered on July 18 by a homeless person in an abandoned building in central Athens. Ert said the woman is thought to have died between five and seven days before she was found.
Greek police contacted by AFP declined to comment on the case. The British embassy in Athens could not be reached for comment.
