The influencer comes clean in podcast with sisters Valentina and Francesca: from childhood to motherhood to toxic relationships and difficult 2023

“Men say they want strong women, but then they try to shrink them.”
Chiara Ferragni returned to talk about herself in an intimate and direct way, guest with her sister Francesca on the Stories Beyond Stories podcast, hosted by third sister Valentina. The focus of the chat was the role of career women in romantic relationships, shared childhoods, and the difficult year the digital entrepreneur experienced.

“All men say they want a strong, independent woman who gets respect,” Ferragni said, ”but when they have her next to them, very few do not feel threatened in their ego. Most try, even unconsciously, to make you smaller.” While never naming her ex-husband Fedez, Chiara admitted, “It has happened to me in multiple relationships, and it has happened to all the strong women I know.”

“All of us have justified wrong attitudes.”
During the podcast, Chiara Ferragni reflected on experiences common to many women: “We’ve all been in toxic relationships, with people who treated us badly, and for a time we were even okay with that. We justified these attitudes, as if they were normal.”

He added, “There are men who jokingly tell you, ‘You’ll keep me,’ but in reality very few can live peacefully with a woman of character. Only those who are really confident can do that.”

Bond with her mother and shared childhood
Chiara wanted to pay tribute to her mother Marina, emphasizing the profound influence she had on her growth: “All the most important things I learned from her. She always made us feel that we could achieve anything if we really believed in it. It’s an imprinting I try to pass on to my children as well.”

The influencer also spoke about her relationship with her sisters, who grew up without rivalry thanks to the balance passed on by their parents: “We never felt there was a favorite daughter. The most beautiful thing is that there has always been affection between us, never competition.”

“In the darkest year, my sisters have been my light.”
Referring to the difficult period she experienced in 2023-between the crisis with Fedez and the controversy related to Pandoro-gate-Ferragni recounted, “If you and Mom had not been there by my side, I don’t know how I would have come out of it. In those moments when I could not see the light, you were my hope.”

She also admitted how her relationship with her sisters changed: “For years I felt like the big sister, the one who had to protect. But then Francesca became a mother, Valentina broke up and took charge of her life. At that moment you became the big sisters.”

Chiara concluded by speaking with esteem of the two: “Francesca taught me lucidity, the ability to look at things objectively. Valentina showed me the courage to say no to unjust situations, which I was not always able to do.”
