Al Jazeera confirmed the death of its photojournalist and cameraman Mohammad Salama, denouncing in a statement ‘a horrific and targeted crime against journalists, part of a systematic campaign to silence the truth.’

The Associated Press announced the death of Mariam Dagga, 33, a freelancer who had been working with the agency since the beginning of the war, specifying that she was not on assignment for AP at the time of her death.

Reuters reported the death of its contributor Hussam al-Masri and the injury of another of its reporters, Hatem Khaled. ‘We are shocked and are urgently seeking medical assistance for Hatem,’ said a spokesperson for the agency.

Finally, the Palestinian Journalists’ Union confirmed the deaths of Moaz Abu Taha, who had worked with Palestinian and international newspapers, and Ahmad Abu Aziz.

The attack on Nasser Hospital is one of the most serious incidents for the press since the start of the conflict, with five journalists killed in a single raid.
