Gaza, Hamas: ‘490 children killed in 20 days by Israeli raids’

According to the Gaza press office, the total Palestinian civilian death toll is said to have exceeded 1,300. Tel Aviv does not comment

490 Palestinian children have been killed in the Gaza Strip in the last 20 days, according to the Hamas-controlled Gaza press office. The tally, released through an official statement, calls the Israeli offensive ‘one of the most horrific crimes against humanity in modern times’, accusing Israel of carrying out ‘brutal massacres against defenceless civilians’.

The text released by the militia also states that ‘Israel has committed a shocking act of genocide against children’, bringing the total number of Palestinian victims in the raids during this period to 1,350.

At the moment, there has been no official comment from the Israeli government, while military operations continue on the ground. The situation remains dramatic, with an increasing number of civilian victims and a worsening humanitarian crisis.
