Sara Netanyahu investigation: charges of intimidation and interference.

Israeli attorney general’s office calls for investigation

The Israeli Attorney General’s Office, Gali Baharav-Miara, has called for an investigation into allegations against Sara Netanyahu. The charges involve alleged attempts to intimidate a witness and interfere in the corruption case against her husband, Benjamin Netanyahu. The request is based on a recent investigative report broadcast by Channel 12.

The allegations against Sara Netanyahu

The report, based on correspondence from Benjamin Netanyahu’s late assistant, Hanni Bleiweiss, reveals that Sara Netanyahu allegedly orchestrated a protest outside the home of a family whose son, a fighter pilot, had been killed in combat. She also allegedly encouraged police officers to use violence against anti-government protesters, tried to intimidate a key witness and prosecutors in her husband’s corruption cases, and mistreated the premier’s longtime secretary, who died of cancer in 2023.

Benjamin Netanyahu’s reaction

Prior to the release of the prosecutor’s statement, Benjamin Netanyahu released a four-minute video in which he attacked the media for allegedly attacking his wife, accusing them of “slander” against him and Sara.
