LIVE VIDEO All living hostages (20) handed over to Israel

-Breaking news – All the hostages, 20 to be precise, have been handed over by Hamas and are now in the care of the Red Cross LIVE VIDEO –

Hamas frees the first 7 hostages: they were handed over to the Red Cross shortly after 7 a.m. today, Monday 13 October. This was reported by the Israeli media, explaining that the news was greeted with cheers in Hostage Square in Tel Aviv, where thousands of people were watching the historic moment live.

The first to be released – initially there was talk of six – are Gali and Ziv Berman, Matan Angrest, Alon Ohel, Omri Miran, Eitan Mor and Guy Gilboa-Dallal. According to a statement released by the Al-Qassam Brigades, the other 14 hostages still alive will be released between 9 and 10 a.m. at various locations in the Gaza Strip. ‘As part of the prisoner exchange agreement, the Al-Qassam Brigades have decided to release the following living Zionist prisoners,’ the Palestinian movement said in a statement.

This will be followed by the release of Palestinian prisoners detained in Israel, as provided for in the first phase of the agreement brokered by the United States, Egypt and Qatar.

US President Donald Trump landed in Israel this morning, where he will meet with the kidnapped and the families of the victims. ‘The war in Gaza is over,’ he said aboard Air Force One, expressing confidence in the ceasefire. His words come just hours after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated that Israel’s military campaign ‘is not yet over’ and spoke of ‘serious security challenges’ still to be addressed.

In the afternoon, Trump will attend the peace summit in Sharm el-Sheikh, co-chaired with Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi, dedicated to peace in Gaza and stability in the Middle East. The meeting, which will bring together leaders from more than 20 countries, will be attended by Emmanuel Macron, Keir Starmer, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Antonio Guterres, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Pedro Sanchez, among others.

However, no representatives from Israel or Hamas will be present. According to the Egyptian presidency, the aim is to “end the war in the Gaza Strip, strengthen the commitment to peace and usher in a new era of regional security and stability”.
