Sarah Ferguson’s Explosive Memoir Deal Nears Amid Fresh Royal Family Turmoil

Sarah Ferguson’s Explosive Memoir Deal Nears Amid Fresh Royal Family Turmoil

As Earl Spencer’s new book reignites controversy over Princess Diana’s legacy, reports suggest Sarah Ferguson is on the brink of securing a lucrative autobiography deal

The British Royal Family is once again confronting an uncomfortable cycle of headlines, competing narratives and public scrutiny, with Sarah Ferguson now poised to become the latest figure at the center of attention.

According to reports, the Duchess of York is only days away from signing a seven-figure publishing agreement for what could become one of the most closely watched royal memoirs in recent years. The reported deal emerges at a moment when interest in the House of Windsor has already been reignited by a series of projects tied to Princess Diana’s legacy, including a newly released book by her brother, Earl Spencer, and a forthcoming documentary by Prince Harry marking 30 years since her death.

Diana’s Legacy Reignites Old Tensions

Earl Spencer’s latest book, Swan Song: Diana, My Sister, has generated significant attention for a number of claims relating to members of the Royal Family, including King Charles.

Among the allegations attracting the greatest scrutiny is Spencer’s assertion that Charles remarked, “we’ll forget about it soon” following Diana’s death. The claim quickly sparked a war of words between the Princess’s brother and Buckingham Palace.

In response, the Palace issued a statement defending the monarch’s position.

“While we do not comment on books as a matter of principle, His Majesty recognizes that the grief of losing a sibling can cloud reason, affect judgment and reshape memories in ways others may not recognize, even many years after such a loss.”

Spencer has nevertheless rejected suggestions that the book was intended as an attack on either the King or the wider Royal Family. Appearing on the television program Lorraine, he described the project as a personal tribute rather than an institutional criticism.

“This book is a celebration of an extraordinary woman from a brother’s perspective,” he said. “As her brother, I have every right to write about my sister. But I would like to make it clear that I had absolutely no intention of attacking the King. Charles’s comments included in the book are presented in their proper context.”

Attention Shifts to Ferguson

With debate over Spencer’s claims still unfolding, attention is increasingly turning toward Sarah Ferguson.

Sources cited by The Sun claim the former royal is close to finalizing a publishing agreement after what has reportedly become a private bidding contest among interested publishers. According to those reports, a detailed chapter-by-chapter outline has already been prepared, supported by extensive notes identifying the principal themes of the autobiography.

The reported manuscript could include Ferguson’s views on her former husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Jeffrey Epstein, King Charles, Prince Harry and Meghan.

Sources familiar with the project insist that Ferguson sees the book as an opportunity to address long-standing controversies surrounding her public life while also improving her financial position.

One insider said: “Sarah wants to set the record straight on everything and make some money to solve her financial problems. There has been a genuine secret bidding war and the deal is close to being finalized. The notes are compelling and commissioners are excited. Fergie remains optimistic and believes she can be forgiven and welcomed back.”

Should the agreement be completed, Sarah Ferguson’s explosive memoir would enter a royal landscape already charged by renewed debate over Diana’s legacy, ensuring that public attention on the Royal Family shows little sign of fading.
