FBI Foils Alleged White House Attack Plot During Trump Freedom 250 Event

Federal authorities say a multi-phase attack plan was disrupted ahead of June 14 celebrations tied to the U.S. 250th anniversary and Trump’s 80th birthday

The FBI has announced it disrupted an alleged plot targeting the White House that was reportedly planned for June 14 during the “Freedom 250” celebrations, an event linked to the 250th anniversary of the United States and the 80th birthday of President Donald Trump, which also included an UFC event.

FBI Director Kash Patel said the threat was identified on June 10 through a joint operation involving federal agencies and the Department of Justice. The coordinated intervention led to multiple arrests and the dismantling of what authorities described as an active operational plan. In a statement on X, Patel credited the “rapid action” of the FBI and partner agencies for stopping the suspected attack and placing several individuals in custody.

Investigators uncovered what officials describe as a structured network operating through encrypted communication platforms, including Signal. The alleged plan involved a multi-phase attack beginning with explosive-laden drones targeting structures near the event area to generate chaos. This phase would allegedly be followed by an armed assault involving snipers targeting crowds fleeing the scene, and a possible second phase aimed at breaching White House security perimeters.

Media reconstructions indicate investigators have linked up to 23 individuals to the network, with five arrests already carried out across separate operations in Ohio and Virginia. Federal authorities said the intervention prevented what could have been a large-scale attack during an event expected to attract thousands of participants, including civilians, military personnel, and political figures.

Kash Patel described the response as “rapid and coordinated action” by law enforcement agencies. Secret Service sources confirmed that security around the White House has been reinforced following the discovery of the alleged threat.
